I haven't posted again in a while as you can see. Now, I don't really need to tell you that!! The month of April has been a whirlwind of activities, so I have been very busy. A lot of my busyness has been crafting and creating too, so that makes it all the more fun. In addition to this, our addition has begun and is going full force. While it has not bothered me, it's just having all the action going on that distracts me. I'm one of those that gets easily distracted!!
I've been a busy beaver working on baby shower things. Of course, I can't show you any of that until after the shower, because I want it to be a surprise for all who come. But....let's just say.....I LOVE some of the projects I'm doing. I got most of my ideas from some other demonstrator's showers or just their ideas. I had to order quite a bit because I could not get it locally, but it's all here and ready to be finished.
Our church had its annual Faith Promise Missions Conference last week so I was really busy with that. We had a ladies missionary luncheon, which was lots of fun. The men had their own thing...a breakfast. But they did all that and we didn't decorate for that....they don't really care about the decorations anyway - right? But the best part is we got our final total on the amount and our folks exceeded the goal by 19 percent and we had a pretty hefty goal to begin with. WOW - all of us were so surprised and thankful. We really should not have been surprised because God can and will do anything!!! Most of the time we are just very weak in our believing what He can do. So we were rejoicing together last night for a long while!!!
These are a few pictures from the luncheon. One of the ladies in our church came up with the idea. She does a beautiful job and I was just there to be an encouragement to her. Well, I did help a little, but not much. Our theme was "I Will Go", so she came up with these decorating ideas.

The typewriter belongs to my MIL and it's an antique as you can tell. It fit perfectly in the decor. The colors were black and off-white. The roses on the tables were beautiful. In fact I have them and plan to make some wreaths out of them. I just LOVE them!! Then I did make the little favor boxes. The last picture of the little rose is a pin TH made for the missionary wives/teen children/pastor's wife and we had quite a few for door prizes. All of the large roses and small roses were make with SU!'s DSP newspaper print.
So that's our conference in a nutshell and what I've been busy with.
Now it's time to move on to the next big project!! May is filled with lots of activities too, so not sure how much I'll be posting.
Until next time,
Betty
